IDWA is a women-focused organisation committed to advancing the welfare, unity and empowerment of women through advocacy, education and community development.
Founded and convened by Dr. Sarah Ogah-Aduwari, mni, IDWA was established as a platform for women to connect, support one another and work collectively towards creating meaningful and lasting impact in their communities. With representation across states and board categories, the organisation promotes inclusion, collaboration and a shared commitment to improving the lives and opportunities of women.
At the heart of IDWA is the belief that empowered women strengthen families, transform communities and contribute significantly to national development. Through advocacy, strategic initiatives and community engagement, IDWA seeks to amplify women’s voices, promote their welfare and create opportunities for personal, educational and socio-economic advancement.

NATIONAL PRESIDENT IDOMA DAUTHERS AND WIVES ASSOCIATION
Dr. Sarah Ogah-Aduwari, mni, Founder, Convener and National President of IDWA, is a seasoned educationist, philanthropist, gender advocate and serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of professional and leadership experience.
A native of Anwule in Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State, Dr. Ogah-Aduwari has dedicated much of her career to education, community development and the advancement of women.
She is the Founder and Dean of Spring Valley Nursery, Primary and High School, Port Harcourt, which she established in 2005. Her extensive experience in education and leadership has shaped her commitment to building institutions and initiatives that create opportunities for individuals and communities to thrive.
As a philanthropist and gender advocate, Dr. Ogah-Aduwari has made significant contributions across both the public and private sectors. Through IDWA, she provides strategic leadership while championing advocacy, unity, inclusion and the welfare of women across the organisation’s various state and board structures.
Her professional development includes certification as an Adult Education and Community Development Consultant from Rivers State University of Science and Technology and as an Education Management Consultantfrom the University of Port Harcourt. She is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Strategic Management and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Human Resources Management.
Dr. Ogah-Aduwari is a Member of the National Institute (mni), reflecting her commitment to leadership, strategic thinking and national development.
She speaks Idoma, Hausa and English, and her key areas of advocacy and interest include gender advocacy, education and community development. Outside her professional and philanthropic engagements, she enjoys music, golf and travelling.
Through her leadership, IDWA continues to bring women together around a common purpose: to build stronger networks, advocate for women’s interests and create positive change that extends from women to families and communities.
